Noon Academy is the leading ed-tech platform in the Middle East, with over 12 million students and teachers using our app to learn, teach, and collaborate. We have recently raised $41 million in Series B funding to expand our reach and impact in the region and beyond. We are on a mission to transform the physical classroom experience by introducing our highly engaging social, group-based learning and AI to make learning fun and improve learning efficacy. Our ultimate goal is to provide access to the best teachers to every student even if that teacher is only available virtually. We believe we can do this if we blend AI, peer-to-peer learning, and a carefully designed physical space.
We are seeking someone with the following skills:
- Education:
- English language proficiency: Native (Required)
- Educational Background: A Masters in TEFL or TESOL or Cambridge certifications such as CETLA or DELTA (Preferred)
- Certifications and Diplomas on online teaching and learning, hybrid teaching models, online classroom management, strategies to engage online learners. (Preferred)
- Time Zone:
- Time Zone: Available in the Saudi Time Zone to teach classes and receive feedback on the lesson plans (8 30 - 11 30am GMT for classes) 12pm - 2pm GMT For planning & feedback
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Noon’s teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL) strategy by preparing and delivering creative, engaging and contextual hybrid lessons to the highest standards of ELT.
- Being punctual and timely prepare and upload all material needed before the beginning of the lesson after incorporating feedback
- Plan, prepare and deliver high quality, differentiated lessons that meets the needs of different competency levels in the classroom and takes into account individual learning styles
- Personalize student learning inside the classroom using technology based tools, e.g AI based reading, speaking & writing applications with monitoring dashboards for teachers
- Develop mechanisms to monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course, and actively promote learner autonomy.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials, in order to meet students’ needs based on key metrics,
- Actively engage in research, professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning.
- Develop, curate and deploy digital assessment tools to assess student baseline competency and monthly progress.
- Keenness to learn the technical aspects of Noon’s platform and what changes are needed in order to improve learning.
Type of Contract: Remote / Contractual / 20-25 hours a week. (Sunday-Thursday)
