Tasks and Responsibilities:
UI/UX Design:
- Design and develop engaging and responsive user interfaces for geospatial applications.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts.
- Ensure designs are user-centered, visually appealing, and aligned with project requirements.
Geospatial Data Integration:
- Work with different geospatial data formats including orthophotos, point clouds, and GIS data.
- Design interfaces that can effectively display and interact with these data formats.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate geospatial data into the front end seamlessly.
User Experience Optimization:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and improve the user experience.
- Analyze user feedback and data to iterate on designs and enhance application usability.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines and best practices for geospatial applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to team members and clients effectively.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic design decisions.
Technical Proficiency:
- Utilize design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and others to create design assets.
- Ensure front-end designs are implemented accurately by collaborating with the development team.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies relevant to geospatial applications.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on geospatial or data-intensive applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX design work, particularly involving geospatial data.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
- Experience working with geospatial data formats such as orthophotos, point clouds, and GIS data.
- Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
